In this presentation, we will notice how events that took place in the Jordan Valley were exposed for all to see. A greater understanding of the Jordan Valley will reveal the context of the Israelites’ journey from Egypt to their entrance into the Promised Land. Upon their arrival at Shittim, Israel’s settlement in the area could easily be seen by the inhabitants of Jericho whose city overlooked the valley and guarded one of the main roads up to the Judean hills.
