In October 2026, JUC team member Devin Esch led a group from his home community in Pennsylvania on a journey through Jordan and Israel, including time with Jerusalem University College students and staff.

The group visited Eilat before traveling into Jordan, where their itinerary included Petra, Wadi Rum, and an overnight stay with Bedouin hosts. While leaving Wadi Rum, their vehicle became stuck in the sand. After about an hour of digging and pushing, a truck equipped with a winch helped free the vehicle.

Back in Israel, the travelers spent time along the Dead Sea and in Jerusalem, where they traced events associated with Passion Week. They also connected with members of the JUC campus community before heading west and north toward Galilee for several days.

The visit brought new guests into campus life while offering travelers opportunities to explore the historical and geographical settings of the biblical world.
