Midsemester Break Brings Community and Recreation to JUC Campus
Midsemester break brings recreation, visiting guests, worship, and time together to the JUC campus.

Jerusalem University College students balanced midterm examinations and papers with recreation and community activities during a midsemester break in October 2026.
With no field studies scheduled for two consecutive weekends, students had opportunities to enjoy cooler weather and time together on campus. Activities included birthday celebrations, ice cream outings, a water balloon gathering, and informal time on the campus lawn.
President Dr. Oliver Hersey was on campus during the week, joined by JUC team member Jeff Evans. At vespers, Hersey offered reflections on the transformative power of God’s living water. Daniel Gehman was scheduled to continue the theme of transformation at the following gathering.
The community also welcomed visiting travelers and reconnected with alumnus Adrian Huizinga, who stopped by campus and shared news of his work in Washington, D.C.
The week reflected the blend of academic responsibilities, shared worship, visiting guests, and everyday friendships that shapes campus life at JUC.
