Jerusalem University College welcomed new and returning students to its Mount Zion campus for fall 2026 orientation weekend, beginning with arrivals on Friday, August 28.

The university welcomed Beth, Blake, Hannah, Mang, Ruben, and Steven as first-time full-time students. Seth Jordan, who had previously lived in Israel and taken classes alongside his wife, also joined the M.A. in Biblical History and Geography program. JUC additionally welcomed new facilities manager Joe Arrigoni.

On Saturday, students gathered in the dining hall to meet faculty and staff and hear encouragement from Dr. Elaine Phillips. Returning students shared advice with those beginning their studies, and the group memorized Psalm 86:11 as a prayer for the semester.

Orientation included an academic overview and a walk through Jerusalem’s Old City. The group visited Omar, a longtime friend of JUC in the Christian Quarter, and stopped at the Austrian Hospice for rooftop views and refreshments.

The weekend also included worship at Christ Church, the Physical Settings course’s first field study, and an evening meal with JUC faculty and their families. The gathering provided opportunities for students to begin building relationships as the semester got underway.
