JUC Students Explore Biblical Research Resources at Jerusalem’s École Biblique
JUC students discover biblical research resources and library access at Jerusalem’s École Biblique.

Jerusalem University College students visited the École Biblique in October 2026, gaining familiarity with one of Jerusalem’s longstanding centers for biblical and archaeological research.
Founded in 1890 by the Dominican Order, the École Biblique was established to study the Bible in the geographical and historical context of the land in which it was written. Its scholarly approach has emphasized the importance of archaeology, language, and historical geography in understanding Scripture.
The institution is home to an extensive biblical studies library, offering significant resources for academic research.
JUC students have access to the library’s collections and a private study desk, providing valuable support for their coursework and independent research. These resources are particularly beneficial for students completing Master of Arts theses.
The visit introduced students to an important academic institution in Jerusalem and highlighted the opportunities available for biblical scholarship beyond JUC’s campus.
Access to institutions such as the École Biblique is one of the distinctive advantages of studying in Jerusalem, where students can engage with specialized research collections and the historical settings central to their academic work.
