Submitting a Birth Certificate with Apostille
As part of the application process, all graduate and semester-abroad students studying in residence—as well as any spouses or family members accompanying the student—are required to submit a copy of their birth certificate with an apostille. These documents will be used as part of the student visa application submitted to the Israeli Ministry of Interior.
What is an Apostille?
An apostille is an extra level of verification for documents intended for use outside of a student’s country of origin. Each state manages this process, so it will look different depending on where you were born. Please Google/search "birth certificate apostille STATE", with the word STATE being the state (or country if outside the U.S.) that you reside in. Some states affix a stamp or seal, and others use a cover letter attached to the document. When you have obtained your birth certificate (with apostille), please submit it in your JUC Portal.
