An endowed scholarship is generated from the continual investment growth of the initial scholarship donation. The donation amount is carefully invested, while the money earned through the donation principal continues to generate scholarship funds for JUC students year after year.
At any point in the process, JUC's Business and Development office would be glad to speak with you and answer any questions you may have about this process (email: advancement@juc.edu).

Funds are managed by JUC's investment consultants at Merrill Lynch and Edward Jones, in combination with JUC's Board Finance Committee and Vice President of Business and Institutional Relations.
Reports will be delivered to you annually at the end of each calendar year. Your yearly report will show the investment performance.
The JUC Scholarship Committee reviews all applications for financial aid and awards scholarships to students who meet the requirements specified by the endowed scholarships.
"As a recipient of a generous scholarship, made possible by JUC’s donors, I am so thankful for the opportunity that my wife and I have been granted to study in Jerusalem. It would not have been possible for us otherwise, and we wake up every morning grateful for the gift of studying the Bible in the land itself. As I have worked to pursue excellence in Hebrew and the cognate languages, as well as an understanding of the land and context of the biblical narratives, I have been immensely edified in my own faith and understanding of the biblical text. We are excited to humbly take this educational gift with us forward into the future, hoping that it will edify and encourage others back home as we look to give back what we have received."
"After working in full-time ministry for seven years, I made the decision to study at JUC because I wanted to study the Bible in the land of the Bible. During my time at JUC, I have learned about the historical, cultural, and geographical contexts of the Bible which has deeply impacted my faith. My desire is to take this back home with me and to help others understand the Word of God more, and more importantly to love Him more as a result. My scholarship from JUC is not only making it possible for me to study here financially, but it’s also equipping me to live out what God has called me to do. This simply wouldn’t be possible without the scholarships provided by our generous donors, and I could not be more grateful!"
