Just as the JUC arch in our logo is made up of many stones, many individuals of the JUC community join together to fund the JUC Arch Grant. This is a grant of $1,000 to $4,000 per semester to help eligible students continue their studies in Jerusalem.
Full-time Master of Arts students, graduate certificate students, and graduate study abroad students may benefit from this financial award. These recipients demonstrate academic excellence (GPA of 3.5 or higher) and a promising future of leadership in ministerial and/or academic contexts propelled forward by a passion to teach the Bible. The award may be renewed for the students in subsequent semesters provided a GPA of 3.5 or higher is maintained.
There is no limit to the number of students who can receive the JUC Arch Grant in any given semester. When qualified students apply and scholarship funds are available, the funds are granted to enable as many students as possible to study at JUC.
The JUC Arch Grant is awarded each Fall and Spring semester.
"Thank you to all that have made this kind of learning possible. A learning that requires time to reflect on what it means to not merely consume the lessons from the Holy Land but sit with them, walk with them, and commune with others along the way. A learning that dives into culture, languages, history, and geography in ways that enlighten all the times God revealed Himself to mankind: the small “i” incantations and The Incarnation of a God desiring to be known. And a learning that launches its students into their particular vocations with deeply ingrained knowledge and immensely engaged experiences to share with the world. To know the Lord better because I’ve walked in His steps is a privilege and a blessing, so thank you for your generous gifts that help create this one-of-a-kind learning."
"The opportunity to study under the professors at JUC and experience life in Jerusalem has expanded my view of the world, deepened my faith, and shaped me into a better scholar. After graduation I hope to use my degree and passion for biblical studies to become an educator. JUC’s interdisciplinary and place-based approach will help me to integrate the history and geography of the biblical context into the classroom. The blessing of a JUC scholarship allows me to pursue my calling with financial security and frees me to dive into the rich and unique education that JUC provides. I would not be able to attend this program without the financial aid that I receive."
