Jordan Field Study Extension (Optional)
As you plan your travel course (Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible, Jesus and His Times, or Pastor and Parishioner), you may choose to extend your trip by traveling to Jordan.
The 3-day Jordan Field Study Extension offers opportunity for continued exploration of the Land of the Bible. This is accomplished as you assess the historical and geographical contexts of Transjordan to better understand its role in the biblical narrative. While in Jordan, you will evaluate the regions of Lower Gilead, Upper Gilead, Ammon, the Medeba Plateau, Moab, and Edom. Together with your course instructor, you will compare and contrast Cisjordan and Transjordan, contemplating the connectedness of the Land as a whole and considering the geopolitical opportunity it afforded.
The Jordan Field Study extends the Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible and Pastor and Parishioner courses by three additional days at the end of the course. The Jesus and His Times course is extended by three additional days at the beginning of the course. View pricing in the Tuition and Aid Fee Schedules.
