SEMESTER ABROAD |
|
|
General Information |
|
Our semester and
year abroad programs of study have
been developed in hand with the M.A. programs
over five decades to offer
graduate and undergraduate students an advanced program of biblical
history and geography, biblical language studies as well as a first
hand experience of the region through a concentrated study of the
culture and religions of the Middle East.
Semester students travel
the land from Dan to Beersheba, take field trips throughout Egypt
and Jordan depending on the program
of study in which they are enrolled.
Highly qualified faculty members from a variety of cultures and
traditions help students learn to use the historical, geographical,
archaeological, cultural and linguistic data in the interpretation
of Scripture. They further the students understanding of the
interplay of ideologies and customs in the political, social, and
historical relationships of the Middle East.
Christian students from every continent, various cultures and many
different colleges, universities, seminaries and denominations,
share in a unique experience of living and studying in a student
community which is as diverse as the countries that are represented. |

Semester Abroad |
|
Undergraduate and graduate students
who are either currently enrolled at other institutions or who have
completed one year of college may study for a semester at the
university and transfer applicable credits to their home
institutions. Courses in the history, geography, culture, religions,
and languages of ancient biblical times and the modern Middle East
provide rich insights into the past and a meaningful cross-cultural
experience.
Semester Abroad students benefit from
taking classes developed around our graduate Master of Arts degree
program.
Students come
from both Consortium institutions and non-member schools. |
|
|
|
 |
|

Approximately
100 accredited colleges, universities and seminaries are
members of the Consortium of Associated Schools of Jerusalem University
College. Thus, students from these schools may develop a program of
study which will transfer into their degree at their home institution.
The schools treat JUC as an extension campus of their own
institution. By prior agreement they send their students for a semester
or year of studies, or for shorter intensive block studies of
two or three weeks duration. |
